Titled "Sita", it is the first Indian movie to be filmed at Angkor Wat.
Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, star of the Telugu movie, told Sakshi Post that he was excited to be leading the first Tollywood movie to film at the temple.
In the movie, he plays Raghuram, who was left at a monastery at age four with the promise that someone named Sita (Kajal Aggarwal) will come to take care of him and vice versa. However, fast forward 20 years later, when the two finally meet, a twist is set to happen.
Previously, another Telugu movie was supposed to have filmed at Angkor Wat as well but "Katmundu 2 Cambodia" was canceled back in 2018 due to casting issues.
