"Funan" has been selected for yet another film festival

"Funan" will be screened in Malaysia's Le French Festival 2019 next month.

15 Mar - "Funan" is going global once again! It has just recently been announced during a press conference as one of the 15 lineups for Le French Festival (LFF) 2019 in Malaysia.

Having just been released last week in France, as mentioned by H.E. Frederic Laplanche, Ambassador of France to Malaysia, the Khmer Rouge animation is picked as it is a highly-acclaimed film.

It has won accolades at numerous film festivals including the prestigious Best Film at the Animation Is Film Festival in late 2018.

At the press conference, Malaysian actress Sharifah Amani also expressed her desire to see the film and said it is one of her must-watch titles at LFF 2019.

The festival is set to begin on 4 April 2019 and wrap up on 12 May 2019, and it will screen across multiple venues in Malaysia.

"Funan" is also currently screening in its home country of Cambodia as a part of the Cambodia International Film Festival (CIFF) and The French Fortnight.
