29 Nov – It has been almost two years since "Jailbreak" hit the big screen and revolutionized the action genre of Cambodian cinema.
The movie's main actor, Jean-Paul Ly, has been working nonstop both as a stuntman and an actor since and now Ly is set to appear in a new Disney film called "Artemis Fowl".
Ly retweeted a post from London-based talent agency Core MGMT that announces the release of the film's trailer and the actor's participation in the film.
In "Artemis Fowl", Ly is playing a character named Nguyen. Although details of his character have not been revealed, we can safely assume that there will be a lot of actions involved.
Based on a series of eight science fiction fantasy novels written by Irish author Eoin Colfer, "Artemis Fowl" follows the adventure of Artemis Fowl II (Ferdia Shaw) and his trusted butler, Domovoi Butler (Nonso Anozie), as they rob the hidden society of fairies in the hope of rescuing his criminal father and restoring their family fortune.
The science fantasy adventure film is slated for release in North American cinemas on 9 August 2019.
Ly, who has been busy working in a number of films including "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword," "The Takedown," and "Nightshooters", has two more upcoming films up his sleeves.
The actor will be seen next in "Vengeance 2", in which he plays a character named Kelso, and "14 Fists", in which he plays a character named Michel, both currently have no set release dates yet.
